Geez my brain cells are so overactive I can't even get the name of the wine right. Matthew Fox $4 at Blooms introducing a new wine. Wonder what the price is after the introduction. Must be much higher by the taste of it. Sure tastes too good to be just $4.

Damnation I just got caught without my uppers. (lol) Husband is mowing in the back on the pipeline/powerline and I'm doing my power walking. All of a sudden here is a John Deere mower with some guy on it. He goes up to DH and says do you need help. There I am stuck with no upper teeth. I only put these teeth in to go in public so now I guess my backyard is public. Geez I need my teeth back. Can't eat with this denture, can't be comfortable with this damn thing so I take it out around my house. Couldn't get a consultation apptmt with the surgeon till the 23rd and then depending on the cost I will start the 4 month rehab of my mouth so be damned I can eat without grinding up food in the processor. I'm so sick of this and when you grind up food it doesn't taste the same as chewing your food. The day I get this rigged implanted bridge I'm stopping and getting a papusa at the Salvadorian place near the dentist, then I'm stopping at Pizza Hut and getting Pizza, then I stopping at McDonald's and getting a fish sandwich, and then I will puke. (lol) Really, I want food, food for real this sucks. And polygrip that stuff is the nastiest stuff on the face of the earth. Globs in the mouth and when you pull the denture out it is strings of thick slime. OMG I hate this thing. Yeah did I mention fixing my mouth costs the same as buying a car. But hell I'm not living this way forever.

Went to the Home Shoe today. Very nice and very enjoyable. Saw the hardwood I've been eyeing on the internet and actually had on my wish list. So now I know what it looks like in person and I really like the hickory one with it's variations in wood grains and colors. So now I have to make a decision on whether to have the entire first floor in hardwood or just the family room.

This gets more ridiculous all the time. Went to dentist to see if mouth was ready for impressions. He says two more weeks. He checks the spots where the spicules were removed. Then I said what is this lumpy thing up near the space where the check meets the gums. He looks and ponders gives me this explanation that a person has connected gingiva and mine is disconnected. So he ponders some more says you need to go back to the doctor that pulled the two teeth. He says let me get my partner to look at this. Apparently the plate will not stay put on that side of my mouth and will constantly have it rubbed raw. Between the two of them they were trying to decide whether I need the maxofacial guy who pulled them or the periodontist. They decided the maxo guy. Now I have no impressions, teeth rotting as I type, the need for more surgery or bone grafting and an apptmt with the other guy while my doctor is talking to him on the phone and discussing this so they can decide. OMG I have had this thing up the ying yang. No I do not want all the crowns yanked out but have no recourse, but please lets get on with this. I will be dead before I get the darn plate. Dead from natural causes or dead from dental anxiety. (lol) Not only that but my dental insurance cash register is going chaching chaching. I'm going to run out of benefits if this keeps up.
Lordy!!

Life is a hoot sometimes. That's all I have to say. If you standback and really watch people in the workplace it can really be entertaining. Communication, non-communication, competition, maneuvering, cattiness, etc. If they are women it is much more entertaining. Men don't seem to get involved in such lunacy. Since it is a job (money) and not a career for me watching those who it is a career for is very entertaining. I could write a book. Yeah well I shouldn't judge my own gender but women can be evil. Enough said as I chuckle to myself. Damn fools. (lol)

Back from the beach. Oh sooo much fun. All the cousins got along so well and the baby was as sweet as he could be. Walked my butt off and lost 2.5 lbs in 5 days. Now I'm walking every day here to keep it off and maybe lose more. Came home early to get the animals out of the boarders. The cat well can't say I ever saw that side of the little darling. Holy Moses she is my cat and owns me or whatever you call that when cats have one person that is their favorite. I was actually scared of her hissing, growling and hair standing on edge when the kennel girl couldn't get her out. So she left me in there by myself and I finally got her calmed down. But Holy Moses never saw that side of her. She was not a happy camper and she still is just all in my face rubbing, purring, etc. Glad to be home she is.

The eight yr old and I had fun the most. I took her on a flashlight cactus raid one night. A vacant lot had some wild cacti so I took a spoon and a bucket and but DH's socks on my hands (Have to improvise when you don't have what you need) she had the flashlights and we did a midnight raid of helping ourselves to some cactus. What a hoot that was. A little kitten got into our trash the first night so some meat that was left over we put out one night and caught a glimpse of another one. Poor things guess they are feral. So was just talking to them cause they are still there and she was putting out her tuna fish sandwich she didn't like for them. We walked and walked and took pictures of houses we might want to rent next year. We had quite a distance to walk to the beach and we did that several times. Just all out fun. The little ones were fun watching them in our house pool and their antics at the ocean. Finally got one of them at least to hold a little sand crab. Neat little critters, you can't even feel them crawling on you when you are holding them they are so tiny.

We had a thunderstorm one night. OMG the best thunderstorm ever. We get storms here but nothing like this one at the beach. Anyone that was afraid of thunderstorms (my mom who was struck 3 times in her life and used to hide in our stairway at home) would have had a heart attack. The beach wind, the glass door in the balcony on the top floor made for a wondrous storm.

Now I can't wait to do this next year with the whole family again.

Now the bummer part. Got home and on Monday I was to have a colonoscopy for the first time just doing it cause they say you should have one. Messages on the answering machine about giving my medical history before I get to the thing on Mon at 7 a.m. What the hell they wait til the week before to call about this when I already told all this stuff to the office when I went in to schedule this stupid thing. The last message said it is required before they do the procedure. So I heard the message at 3:30 the office closed at 3:00. So I call them anyway get the emergency on call number some doctor calls me back who is taking their calls. Tell him the situation he says he will call back. Didn't call. So I called late this morning. He tells me he didn't forget me but couldn't find out anything. He was cool though cause when I talked to him the first time I told him I didn't want to show up after preparing for this thing with all the nonsense you have to go thru and then they won't do it and he says I hear you. So when I talked to him late this morning he told me to cancel the apptmt. I get off the phone and DH says well he doesn't have to pay the $250 cancellation fee. OMG if these people make me pay $250 for canceling they will know shit. I had left a msg on their answering machine that I was canceling. Sooo maybe some real shit will hit the fan. Their on call guy, and I have his name, is the one that told me to cancel. We shall see!

Just made a mother load of spaghetti sauce with the garden tomatoes that are coming in at record pace. Used these different type of hot pepper that DH bought and grew. All I can say is this family who gets frozen sauce all winter long is going to be hating life after eating this stuff. I love hot spicy but the men in this family are wimps. This stuff is hot. Fished around and around in it trying to get it out of the sauce. Got some of it but Holy Cow these things are hot. I was very careful I thought when I cut this thing up, I only used one along with a jalapeno, not to get any on my hands. Yeah right they are so lethal I should have put on latex gloves. My hands are on fire. Well I will label this stuff Hotter than Hell when I put it in the containers in the freezer. I can see it now. DH who can detect hot spicy in food like no man's business, taking a taste of this and saying "woman what the heck did you do to this stuff". (lol) No, you did it mister you bought the damn plant and grew it and I used it.

08:01 pm - Harry Potter
So Fairfax and 2 or 3 other places right here made Amazon's top five list of the top reservers for the book. Borders in Fairfax had a line started at 4:00 this morning just to get the bracelet thing. I went by there this afternoon and people were lined up getting tickets to go inside to get a bracelet for the books they reserved at midnight tonight. Fire codes say only so many people can be in the store at one time. Wonder if the people are lined up for the party that starts at 9:30? Whatever floats people's boats.

Nice hot day today. Funny living around here we can already feel the humidity starting. But still a nice day. 3 days off I could go for this more often. Seeds we planted are coming up and all the other pots and plants I planted are thriving. Vegetables coming and we even have little tomatoes and peppers. Of course, the first nicest still green big tomato some deer chomped half of it. DH spotted a ground hog today on the pipeline. Heaven help us now those vegetarians will have a feast if they get in here. Had a whole family about 15 years ago. Momma and her offspring. DH took care of them after they ate half our stuff. Have a feeling DH will take care of this fellow, too if he gets in here and tries to destroy all his hard work. The have-a-heart trap he had set for the chippies attracted a hawk yesterday. That was interesting to watch. One frustrated hawk trying to get the chipmunk in the trap. Now the hawk must have spotted this chippie right as he got in the trap. Probably was eying him before the little guy got in the trap. Lucky for the chippie. After about 10 minutes of this hungry hawk attacking the cage he finally gave up and flew away without any dinner. DH left the poor traumatized chippie out after all that anxiety he experienced. Chipmunks are cute little thing but they are destructive around these parts.

Just 4 more days and little Brody baby will be here. Susan told me this morning that Rileigh is the one the baby responds to all the time. Rileigh talks to the stomach and Brody always responds. Not so for the husband or Susan. So I said this might come in handy. If the boy gets a screaming fit or whatever Rileigh will be able to soothe him maybe. I'm getting anxious for this to happen. So now all we have to find out is what time she has to be at the hospital for sure. Make plans for taking care of Rileigh, etc. Bring Rileigh back here to spend the night. Since this is probably the last grand baby it's sooo nice we finally have a boy. I just know son will be borrowing him when he gets bigger to do man things with him. Although he has taken Tyler girl fishing already I think. We shall see. Such a shame son doesn't have a boy since he is more than all boy himself. Yeah my down and dirty son. I swear he could get dirtier than any kid I've ever seen in my life. But what the heck he was having fun.

Taking a break from this insanity of painting and replacing baseboards. Two of the upstairs bedrooms painted, the hall, down the stairs and baseboards partially replaced. Kitchen dining, living finished. Now working on family room. Two more bedrooms and then finally done. Window frames partially done. OMG this is insane. But, it is shaping up. Worked my ass off this morning, grocery shopping, made potato salad so we have something to eat while working, 2 loads laundry. Painted some, washed windows, fixed lunch, painted catmeow house board - now I'm taking a break and playing on here. Ordered new curtains from swags galore - couldn't find what I like in the B&M's. So now I better get off her and get back to the insanity called redo house, make pretty again. Geez. Heck no wonder painters charge soooo much.

Peace beautiful peace. Cleaning like a mad woman today. Washing like a fool. Since Mamma was cold and used 5 quilts. That was 5 loads right there. Cleaned two bathrooms so far. Cleaned the family room. Removed carpet stains since Mama lets the kids run around while eating. Well, until I told son you know that isn't safe for your kids they need to sit while they eat in case they choke on something you will never know. I couldn't stand it any more so when Mama called me today I said you know Marvin and I both had to stop Tyler from twisting Kendal's arm several times. Kendal is sitting on the floor and Tyler grabs her arm and just walks around in circles not moving her hands while she is doing it and that is just twisting and twisting the little one's arm, she is going to hurt her. Reply - she is just trying to dance with her. Hello woman there was no music playing, you were sleeping while we were watching them. OMG I left it at that. You know Mother-in-law can't say too much. But hello get your shit together woman. You are going to have two children that no one else is going to want to be around ever. Well at least one so far, but I'm sure if the same rules apply to the 11 month old as she gets to be Tyler's age it will be the same thing. Society is going to be hard on them and that is ashame. It is the children that will suffer. I know I sound like some grouchy old woman here, but common sense should rule. Too bad son isn't the one home with them all day he would keep them straight. Was talking to him last night and Tyler was twisting Kendal's nose. Mama was at the store. Slam/bam Tyler was crying and he said you pick on your sister and hurt her you get a spanking and you are off to bed. But that isn't going to fly with Mama if she would have been there. Holy Moses. Enough said. I like Mama as a person really, fun to be around one on one, woman to woman, etc. but this other stuff is hard to watch and keep my mouth shut. But mostly my mouth stays shut.

Alachicky you are right and it is only going to get worse.

I think I just drank too much Pinot Grigio. Good Lord I'm getting the spins. Woot! What a day. Good Lord how did so many catty hateful people end up in one place. Beats me! Move day and what a mess. People getting mad, people sniping at each other. One of our analysts mad as hell giving someone the finger in explaining her feelings about someone, trying to control herself and kept saying I got to remain professional. Wheeling her chair to the elevator and the woman who was in charge of this who hates our division grabbing one of her visitor chairs and telling her she couldn't have it. Then the lady telling us so and so is pissed and who does she think she is she has a little dynasty going. Whatever! Interesting hearing from two of the parties that are pissed off. Good Lord get me out of this funny farm. Got down to my desk no receiver attached to my telephone cord. So that became an issue. The floor is torn up in anothe cube. Interesting what is under the carpet that you know nothing about. Spanish movers all around that don't speak much English. People spraying noxious cleaning supplies and people getting pissed off with headaches from the stuff. Stayed two hours longer to try to assemble my desk but still not finished and work to be done. Sit at computer can't hardly reach the keyboard cause the arms on my chair keep me from reaching it the way they set it up. So now it is moved to a more workable place. Gertie ended up with the worst cube in the whole place. Not a division chiefs cube. People making comments about that. What goes round comes round to her. Some geezer that is some lower grade sitting in this huge cube reading a newspaper with no work in site. Why do I have the spins? This is why. Had a rough day. Must have gone up and down the steps 20 times carrying plants, misc items that the movers wouldn't move, listening to all this shit people were putting out and keeping my own mouth shut, wanting to scream at them and say you fools grow the hell up. Lord, give me strength. Hope by Monday sanity reigns. How can these educated fools be sooo whatever. We are here to work so get over yourselves. Good God. Rant over.

On a lighter note no baby yet. So if nothing happens by Tuesday, she will come on Tuesday. Hopefully, nothing happens over the weekend cause we are to have snow and ice and they have a good ways to go to the hospital.

Took up knitting again. Fun fur is all the rage now. So I went and got some that was on sale. Knitting some scarves for my DD and Miss Rileigh. Haven't knit in years and years, but I didn't forget how, so I'm on a roll here. The fun fur is fun to knit with. It turns out really neat looking.

Gosh I guess I better throw this drink down the sink, getting spinnier and spinnier here. Do not like the spins.

Making spaghetti sauce again. Lordy, I can't see wasting all these tomatoes. Last year was a flop, tomatoes got some disease. Well, they are making up for it this year. This will pint number 42 I have made. Good grief, but we will be set for all winter and so will DD. DH helped this time chopping. Yeah the peppers are also plentiful so they go in there, the celery, garlic, onions all need chopped. Then cut up the tomatoes. I'm chopped out.

May become a part-time daycare provider if things work out for the new daughter-in-law. That will be fun. Have us Miss Tyler here, lots of play, lots of work that I see as play. I love my babies. Never did get that burning for a baby out of my system. I would have had a ton of them if it would have been financially practical.

I should go back to work and make some comp time. But, I don't feel like it. Bad me I guess, but I'm not wanting to be bored more than I already am with scanning not on my free time anyway.
Had interesting convo with Gertie today. Politics I swear.

Forgot to update about my really neat Mother's Day celebration. DD had son and family and us over. It was really nice. Now, she is doing it again for Father's Day. Fun time.

At home today, spent night in the bathroom. Thought for sure was going to mess up my record of not throwing up since I was 17 years old. Lordy, don't know what this is but my stomach is really messed up. Thank God I don't go thru this ever. My cast iron stomach is rebelling.

Hope I'm better tomorrow cause muchoo huge community yard sale in the next community. Neat place to get stuff for the kids.

The cicacada (sp) are out in full force. Freaky looking little things with their red eyes. It's getting noisier outside, too. There are holes all thru the garden, their molting skins stuck to everthing and now the real live noisy bugs are out. Wonders of nature!! Quite interesting actually.

Had the older kidlet overnite. Muchoo fun had by all. Took her to the pond for her to use the kiddie fishing pool I bought her yesterday. She got the hang of it. Watched Finding Nemo for the third time. That is so cute. Mommy came we went fishing again. DD is not a fisherman, did about as good at casting as the kid. Fed the two geese that were there. I think the county might have finally after about five years captured the beavers. The entire family about 7 seem to be gone, no fresh chewings on the trees. Now, my thought is what the heck took so long. The pond is completely devestated. Trees down everywhere, shrubs gone and it looks like hell. Slum pond I would say. Hopefully, the county comes by and plants something otherwise it looks awful.

Can't believe it was 90 degrees today. What is our summer going to be like. Hate to think of it. DH went fishing on the bay all day with his buddy. His face looks like a red beet. One big fish (the limit) caught. So I guess fish is going to be served tomorrow. My least favorite food. But heck it saves grocery money.

To the pleasant workplace tomorrow. Yuck!! Shoot me!
